Repossession

Through the series I explored what it means to have an Indigenous identity that is so rooted in land in this colonial society. The pieces fracture the identity, both having the body be returned to the land and be given life from the land. The pieces allow the natural wood grain of the plywood to act as commercialized pieces of the land which is being given new life through the physical body.
